All You Need To Know About Season 2
Season 2 is expanding hugely from Season 1 to further include a Challenger Division and a Masters Division as well as the Premier Division.
What is the Challenger Division?
The Challenger Division is the Franklin PPL's second division of pickleball.
Once The Draft closes, Captains will pick their Premier teams, which are teams of 6 players (3 women and 3 men).
Once this Draft is complete Team Captains/Owners from the Challenger Division will pick their teams from The Draft Sign Up list, without those already selected for Premier.
Please note that players aged 50+ are not eligible to play in the Challenger Division as we are also adding a Masters Division in Season 2!
What is Premier Division?
The Premier Division is the Franklin PPL's Top Division.
Any player signed up for The Draft, is eligible to be drafted for Premier.
Captains/Team Owners will then pick their team in a Snake Draft, with 3 women and 3 men on each team.
These 36 players will compete over the Five League Weekends and Finale for the Evelina Trophy!
What is the Masters Division?
The Masters Division is the Franklin PPL's 50+ Division.
Any player signed up for The Draft, aged 50+ (as of 1st June 2024) is eligible to be drafted.
Captains/Team Owners will then pick their team in a Snake Draft, again with 3 women and 3 men on each team.
Please note that players aged 50+ are eligible to play in Masters and Premier, but not Challenger.
